Short Blocks for Caterpillar, Cummins and Komatsu Engines
A short block is the bottom end of the engine: cylinder block with crankshaft, connecting rods, cylinder kits and bearings, ready to take your existing cylinder head and accessories. It lets the workshop reuse those parts and saves rebuild time compared with machining the block for oversize parts, as we explain in why install a short block instead of an oversized piston.
We have short blocks for Cummins 4B, 6B, QSB4.5, QSB5.9, QSB6.7, 6CT8.3, QSC8.3 and QSL9 and the Komatsu engines built on them (S4D102, S6D102, S4D107, SA6D107, SA6D114E and SAA6D114E), and for Caterpillar 3054, 3116, 3126, 3304 and 3306, such as the Caterpillar 3306 DI TA short block 1N3576. For a more complete assembly, see the reconditioned Caterpillar 3208 turbo long block or our complete engines.
Email the engine model and serial number to gm@gmotors.es and we will confirm the right short block for your engine.
